Elgin City Church’s City Groups are the primary means for pastoral care, deep relationships, resourcing, discipleship, accountability, mentoring, mission, serving, and community. All are welcome: followers of Jesus, doubters, skeptics.
Whether you call them cell church, house church or small groups, city groups are the heartbeat of our church. Part of becoming a member of Elgin City Church means getting involved in a city group. City groups officially meet once per week, usually in someones home, to share a meal together, pray together, fellowship and “do life”. The people in city groups meet throughout the week as well to hang out and build friendships. They also can serve together whether it be at a local soup kitchen, senior residence or local youth center.
