Many of you know that we have been hosting monthly “preview” services since September of 2105. A preview service is a chance for the community to connect with our mission, get to know our leadership and pray, learn and worship together. We have had many friends, family and supporters attend our meetings and we are thankful for everyone who has given financially, showed their love and connected in one way, shape or form. Our meetings are hallmarked by the presence of God, genuine fellowship and passionate Bible teaching.
We will be starting to meet weekly on Sunday, February 21st. Our hope is that God will establish us as a missional outreach in the Elgin community and grow our church from the handful of people we have now, to exponential multiplication. Our Sunday services serve as a “front door” experience for people who are new to Elgin City Church, or new to Jesus. The next step for those feeling joined to our tribe, is to connect to a one of a couple of “city groups” we will be launching in the Fall. A city group is a committed group of believers that meet in homes during the week to pray together, fellowship and share a meal during the week. In addition to our Sunday services, we have a weekly prayer meeting and Bible study every Wednesday night form 6-7pm.
Consider this your personal invite! We invite anyone and everyone who is interested in growing spiritually to join us for our grand opening service! We meet at 11:00 am on Sunday morning February 21st at 51 S. Spring St. Ste 125A in downtown Elgin. Our gathering will be approximately 90 mins and will consist of music, drinks and refreshments and an inspirational message. Kids are welcome and we will have goodie bags for children to color or play quietly. We especially invite you if you are tired of church as usual and are looking for a place to use your gifts and serve. We have opportunity for people to get involved in a variety of ministries and needs.
Questions or comments, please contact our church office at 630-318-6057 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thanks and see you Sunday!
