Life is too short to not know why you’re here. Every human has a basic need to know their purpose. One of the areas of life that I am purposing to live out in 2017 is the idea of living life from a place of abundance. Do you know that one of God’s purpose principles is that you live an abundant life? Jesus said in John 10:10:
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”
Here we see that lack and destruction comes from our enemy. Jesus calls him a thief. A thief takes things that doesn’t belong to them. Do you feel like your joy is being robbed? Do you feel that there is no explained reason why you’re having financial difficulties? Maybe you just feel like your energy is being sapped from some unknown source. All these signs are symptoms of the enemy coming to steal abundance from your life. God has come to give you life!
He has come to give you a purposeful life and not only that, but an abundant life of purpose. The Christian life is hallmarked by quiet, patient joy exuding from your life to others. We may not be millionaires, but certainly God desires for our needs to be met and for us to be able to help and meet the needs of others. We can’t do that when we have no abundance ourselves.
Don’t let 2017 be another year of struggling for you. Set your mind on following Jesus this year and watch Him introduce you to what real abundance looks like!
